Hello, I'm Ryuu Lavitz! I am a 23yr old, New England based cosplayer from Boston, Massachusetts. I began going to conventions during my high school years and quickly fell in love with the community. My first convention that I ever went to was Anime Boston, and I have been attending AB for six years.  I've only been guesting at and branching out to other conventions since May 2014. 

 

I work a regular day job at my favorite fabric shop. I've decided to make my love for photography and clothing design into a small side job.  I sell prints and stickers to raise money for cosplays and convention trips. When I guest at conventions, I also sell handmade bags (all different types), bows, cat ears, pins, magnets, fur hoodie scarves,  jewelry charms, etc.

 

My favorite hobbies include but are not limited to; painting, drawing, photography, sewing, prop building / tinkering, watching anime, and clay sculpting. I've also been playing video games for a long as I can remember. I'm definitely more of a retro gamer and thrive with older games. I struggle a little more with newer games or anything PC based, but I love it all the same. I prefer Xbox for its controller style but Playstation for its game titles.

 

My hobbies for me go far and beyond just dressing up. I take pride in making as much of my costumes as humanly possible from scratch. I'm most well known for my Harley cosplays, and my biggest project was Infested Kerrigan from Starcraft 2. Not only does my fun come from making my own cosplays, but also from taking most of my own photos. Photography has been a huge hobby of mine for the past 6 years.
